An apparently computer problem knocked out two days of JetBlue flights.

UPDATED at 3:55 p.m. with statement from JetBlue.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Passengers checking on scheduled JetBlue flights out of South Florida for October 13th and 14th may have had minor heart issues Wednesday as they learned their flights were cancelled. They were apparently told to rebook, then had difficulty doing so.

The flights, however, were not cancelled — just apparently erased by some sort of a computer glitch. The seemingly cancelled flights were reinstated later in the day. A quick check by BocaNewsNow.com again showed multiple flight options out of FLL and PBI for both October 13th and October 14th.

We checked with JetBlue’s media team. They shared this statement with BocaNewsNow.com: “Some customers with travel planned for October 13 and 14 may have seen their flights were canceled. This was an error and we apologize for any confusion. We have now reinstated the original itineraries for affected customers.”

JetBlue continues its effort to boast reliability and professionalism after taking over many of the routes once flown by now deceased Spirit Airlines. JetBlue continues to grow its foothold in Fort Lauderdale where it is a dominant carrier.
