DEATH INVESTIGATION: Man Claims God Told Him To Kill His Mother

WOMAN FOUND WITH MULTIPLE STAB WOUNDS. DEAD.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man allegedly told police that God told him to kill his mother, so he stabbed her — repeatedly — until she died. The killing took place around 9:30 tonight in the Broward County city of Tamarac.

BocaNewsNow.com has learned that the suspect called Broward County’s 911 center to report the crime, and to tell dispatchers that God told him to kill his mother. SWAT and other first responders rushed to the scene, secured the area, then made entry. They took the man into custody, then found a woman with multiple stab wounds and a significant amount of blood on the floor.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

We have no names at this point but know that it happened in the 5300 block of NW 28th Avenue in Tamarac. Expect a complete update later Saturday once the Broward Sheriff’s Office releases an official statement. We caution this is a breaking news story and facts are subject to change.
