BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A pre-dawn foot patrol through a Sandalfoot-area parking lot ended with a 23-year-old Boca Raton woman facing a felony cocaine charge. Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gianna Marion Padla at 3:49 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27, at the plaza at State Road 7 and Sandalfoot Boulevard, according to her arrest report. The police report was just processed by the Clerk of Courts and obtained by BocaNewsNow.com. Police referred to part of Sandalfoot Plaza as a known drug area.
Deputies wrote that they were walking the plaza’s north parking lot when they spotted a blue Ford Bronco with its rear doors open. Two people sat in the back. Padla was behind the driver’s seat. Deputies say they smelled burnt cannabis as they approached, and that the man with her was searched first and had no contraband.
In Padla’s purse, however, deputies say they found a baggie of marijuana, a metal grinder with more marijuana inside, and a small gray container holding a clear baggie of white powder, with more of the powder loose in the container. The powder tested positive for cocaine on a presumptive field test at the sheriff’s District 7 station. The amount was listed as less than one gram.
Padla was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, a felony, and taken to the Palm Beach County Jail. Bond was set at $500. The arrest report lists no marijuana charges.
