BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The owner of a downtown Boca Raton e-moto shop is back in jail, and police say a rush-hour wheelie on Federal Highway is what put him there. Colton Tagle Ralston, 46, of Boca Raton, was arrested Saturday on charges of stunt driving and violating his probation. He owns Boca Scooters on NW 1st Avenue, which police say promotes and sells electric motorcycles.
It started around 5 p.m. Friday. A Boca Raton Police officer handling a call outside Sanborn Square, 72 N. Federal Highway, says he watched a man on a white electric motorcycle pop a wheelie while heading north on Federal. Traffic was heavy, and both lanes had to slow down. The rider dropped his front tire just before passing the officer and two other uniformed officers, then gave them what the report describes as an apologetic wave. The officer says he recognized Ralston right away from several encounters over the past few months, always on the same bike, with a license plate held on by zip ties. He was tied up on the other call and couldn’t make a stop.
He didn’t have to wait long. Around 11:12 a.m. Saturday, the officer spotted Ralston riding the same e-moto near 400 NE 2nd Street and pulled him over near 400 NE 4th Avenue. After being read his rights, Ralston put his head down and shook it when asked about the wheelie, according to the arrest report. He then said he didn’t mean to do it and that the bike was too powerful for him to handle because he had never been around bikes — even though he owns an e-bike store.
Ralston is already on probation from an earlier arrest for filming stunt driving, also on an e-moto, according to police. The terms of that probation bar any new law violations or citations. He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and later released on $25,000 bond. He is due in court Nov. 10 in Delray Beach.
