BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Some families zoned for Crystal Lakes Elementary could find themselves headed to a different school. Palm Beach County School District staff will present an initial proposal Thursday, Oct. 22, that would shift a portion of the Crystal Lakes attendance zone to Sunset Palms Elementary beginning in the 2027-2028 school year.

The plan goes before the district’s Advisory Boundary Committee at 6:30 p.m. in the board room of the Fulton-Holland Educational Services Center, 3300 Forest Hill Boulevard in West Palm Beach.

That’s not the only change on the table. Staff also want to set the attendance zone for the new Elementary School “23-H” in the City of Westlake, drawing it from portions of the current Golden Grove Elementary and Loxahatchee Groves Elementary boundaries.

The public can attend and offer input in person or virtually. To register for virtual comment, visit the district’s website and click the dropdown labeled “2026-27 Advisory Boundary Committee (ABC) Meetings with Community Input.” The meeting agenda and supporting documents are posted on the district’s website as well.
