DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The homeowners association at Delaire Country Club wants to foreclose on a home inside the community, claiming the owner has fallen tens of thousands of dollars behind on assessments. The Delaire Country Club Property Owners’ Association filed suit Friday in Palm Beach County Circuit Court against Hernan Caride Donovan, whose property sits at 4572 White Cedar Lane.
In the latest reminder that fees and dues are not optional if you live in a Florida HOA, the filing states that monthly maintenance dues of $5,009 — as well as other fees — have gone unpaid for roughly two years. The association recorded a claim of lien on August 24 for $76,223.18 in unpaid assessments. A demand letter sent the same day put the total at $85,375.29 with interest and legal fees. Interest accrues at 18 percent a year, and the complaint says the damages now top $100,000 — even after some money was paid.
The suit includes counts for foreclosure and breach of contract, and asks a judge to order the property sold if the debt isn’t paid. The HOA is represented by Sax Sachs Caplan.
