BOCA RATON, FL (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Buckle up. Between the Florida Department of Transportation and the Palm Beach County Traffic Division, there are 206 separate projects chewing up local roads this week: 23 from FDOT and 183 from the county. If you were planning to get anywhere quickly, make another plan.

I-95 in Boynton Beach is still a nighttime obstacle course, the Beeline Highway is a lane-closure festival, and Conners Highway out west remains flat-out closed. Oh, and did we mention Woodfield Country Club? It’s another week of Clint Moore Road problems because they need to “build the wall!” Here is everything, sorted so you can figure out which commute is going to hurt the most.

Major FDOT Highway Projects

Interstate 95

The Boynton Beach Boulevard interchange rebuild, a $64 million project that will not be finished until early 2029, is once again the headliner.

  • I-95 at Boynton Beach Boulevard: One lane may close in each direction starting at 8 p.m., with up to three lanes closed in each direction from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night through Friday. A fourth lane may close overnight as needed.
  • The northbound and southbound outside deceleration lanes and shoulders approaching the Boynton Beach Boulevard exits are closed through late 2026.
  • Portions of the entrance and exit ramps are walled off with temporary barrier; additional ramp lanes may close nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night through Friday.
  • Boynton Beach Boulevard: Eastbound drops from three lanes to two between NW 8th Street and east of W. Industrial Avenue through late 2026. The northbound outside turn lane of NW 8th Street at Boynton Beach Boulevard is also closed, leaving one lane for all movements.
  • Boynton Beach Boulevard from Old Boynton Road to NW 3rd Avenue may lose one lane in each direction from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly.
  • The westbound turn lane to the I-95 southbound entrance ramp may close from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday night through Friday. The detour: W. Industrial Avenue, U-turn to eastbound Boynton Beach Boulevard, then the ramp.
  • The driveway and front parking area at 650 Boynton Beach Boulevard may be closed around the clock as needed through late 2026. Use NW 8th Street or NW 7th Street to NW 1st Avenue to reach the back lot.
  • I-95 lighting in Lake Worth Beach: Northbound I-95 off-ramps from 12th Avenue South to 10th Avenue North may have one lane closed intermittently from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday, Oct. 19 through Thursday, Oct. 22.
  • I-95 HOV lanes: Northbound and southbound HOV lanes between Clint Moore Road in Boca Raton and Indiantown Road in Jupiter close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Oct. 19 through Thursday, Oct. 22, and again Monday, Oct. 26 through Thursday, Oct. 29, for overhead sign replacement.

Southern Palm Beach County

Boca Raton gets the U.S. 1 squeeze this week. Delray Beach finally gets some good news.

  • U.S. 1 in Boca Raton: Northbound and southbound U.S. 1 between Camino Real and SE 5th Street/SE Mizner Boulevard drops to one lane from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Oct. 23 for drainage work and roadway repurposing. Southbound traffic in that stretch has been shifted to the two left lanes in its final pattern.
  • Glades Road in Boca Raton: FDOT’s list still includes one lane closed each way between U.S. 441 and Boca Rio Road from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for pavement marking, scheduled through Thursday, Oct. 15, plus a westbound lane closure from NW Executive Court to Butts Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for sidewalk repair, scheduled through Friday, Oct. 16.
