BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Three Boca Raton beaches are among nine Palm Beach County spots where state health officials say you should stay out of the water for now. The Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County has issued a water quality advisory for South Inlet Park, Red Reef Park and Spanish River after tests found elevated levels of Enterococcus bacteria.

The advisory also covers Sandoway in Delray Beach, Lake Worth-Kreusler in Palm Beach, and four Jupiter locations: DuBois Snorkel Lagoon, DuBois Park, Carlin Park and Ocean Cay Park.

Samples collected during regular water quality monitoring and tested Monday, Oct. 19, came back above the recreational water quality standard for Enterococcus recommended by the Department of Health. DOH-Palm Beach is advising against swimming or any other water-related activity at the affected sites because of an increased risk of illness.

The advisory stays in place until bacteria levels fall back below the accepted health level. Test results are posted at FloridaHealth.gov/HealthyBeaches. For more information, call 561-671-4013 or visit PalmBeach.FloridaHealth.gov.
