PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Two men accused of posing as law enforcement officers robbed three people in a single day, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives arrested Sean Armas and Billy Brewer in connection with the Oct. 19 robberies, and they face charges including strong-arm robbery and impersonating law enforcement officers.
PBSO tells BocaNewsNow.com that It started at 2:38 a.m. near Cresthaven Boulevard and Military Trail. A man riding an electric bicycle was approached by a black Ford F-250 or F-350 pickup with “State Trapper” printed on both rear windows and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission logo stickers on the rear side windows and rear windshield. The men inside demanded his identification and passport and asked whether he was a U.S. citizen. When he questioned their authority and refused, one of them got out and snatched a gold chain from his neck. After a brief struggle, the pair took off.
Less than five hours later, at about 7:20 a.m., a dark-colored pickup pulled up to a bus stop near South Military Trail and Summit Boulevard. One suspect walked up to a woman, implied he had a gun, and ripped a gold necklace from her neck. She screamed, and they fled. Then at 9:06 p.m., in the 4000 block of Roberts Way, the suspects’ vehicle cut off a man riding an electric scooter. They pushed him off and took the scooter. When a witness confronted them, they identified themselves as law enforcement officers and drove away.
PBSO deputies and Tactical Unit agents found the truck parked in the 2600 block of Saginaw Avenue with Armas and Brewer inside, and the victims identified both men. Detectives served a search warrant and recovered stolen property and other evidence. Investigators believe there may be more victims who haven’t come forward. Anyone who recognizes Armas or Brewer, or had an encounter with either man, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS (8477) or submit an anonymous tip through the “See Something” feature in the PBSO mobile app.
