BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Gate issues at several railroad crossings in Boca Raton late Wednesday continue to cause problems for the evening rush.
Boca Raton Police alerted earlier this afternoon that there were issues at the FEC tracks in multiple locations. But those issues were supposed to be resolved well before 6 p.m. Apparently, they’re not. The locations are identified as:
Glades and North Dixie. Dixie and Palmetto. Dixie at NW 2nd Street. And Dixie at NW 20th Street.

The good news: the crossings are not closed because of a crash or other major incident. The gates are (or were) not working. It’s that simple. The bad news: even though authorities say traffic should be clearing by now, clearly traffic is not.
