BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The City of Boca Raton’s Office of Sustainability and Police Services Department will host a free, drive-thru e-waste recycling and document shredding event on Saturday, November 14, from 9 a.m. to noon at 6500 Congress Avenue.

Got a drawer full of dead chargers? Bring them. Residents can drop off televisions (but not CRT models), computers, monitors, printers, keyboards, phones, tablets, audio equipment, cables and chargers. The city will also take small household electronics, batteries, light bulbs, medical equipment and ink and toner cartridges.

Leave the old tube TV at home. CRT televisions and monitors, radioactive materials, household hazardous waste and large appliances like stoves, washers, dryers and dishwashers won’t be accepted.

Police Services is partnering with Microshred Corporation to shred documents on-site at no cost, with shredding trucks parked at the event. It’s open to residents only — no commercial participation — and each household is limited to five banker-sized boxes. Officers will also hand out identity theft prevention tips. More information is available on the Office of Sustainability’s webpage and at myboca.us/Take-Action.
