BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — NORAD and the FAA are warning pilots that fighter jets will be enforcing a no-fly zone over part of Palm Beach County this weekend. That means you can expect to see — and hear — fighter jets. Here is the official statement issued from Tyndall Air Force Base:
>>Fighter jets from the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) will enforce the Federal Aviation Administration-established VIP Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) area for this weekend, Oct. 30 – Nov. 1, 2026, over West Palm Beach, Florida.
General aviation pilots are reminded that checking Notices to Airmen, or NOTAMs, before each flight is required by the FAA and TFR procedures must be followed. Pilots should anticipate that these TFRs will be routinely scheduled on a recurring basis necessitating continuous pre-flight planning and vigilance.
If required, NORAD jets will respond to aircraft violating the TFR and take the necessary action to gain compliance, a scenario we encourage all pilots to avoid.
Since the January 2025 presidential inauguration, NORAD has responded to more than 60 tracks of interest violating TFRs in the West Palm Beach area.<<
