STRANDED MOTORISTS. IMPASSABLE ROADS. THIS IS E-V KILLER WEATHER…

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Be careful if you’re heading out Tuesday morning. Heavy rains all night long have added to the flooding situation that is being experienced through much of Palm Beach County.
The City of Boca Raton reports that high water continues to be a problem in several locations, including NW 2nd Avenue between 20th Street and Yamato Road; NW 2nd Avenue and NW 28th Street; NW 2nd Avenue and NW 35th Street, and multiple areas of Dixie Highway.
Portions of Yamato, Lyons Road, Clint Moore Road, Glades Road, and others have sporadic areas of high water.
There were multiple requests for rescues and help overnight as motorists became stranded countywide. Palm Beach County activated its Emergency Operations Center overnight to deal with the flooding and the aftermath of Sunday’s plane crash.
Officials warn if you can’t see the bottom of an area of standing water, don’t drive through it. You may become stuck, you can destroy your engine, and if you’re driving an EV — it’s a great way to destroy the battery.
We also note flights are delayed and cancelled at all South Florida Airports. Check your with your airline before heading out.
