FHP Arrests Two Following Chase On I-95 Near Boynton Beach

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Two men were arrested late Friday night following a high speed chase on I-95. The chase ended in Boynton Beach on Gateway Boulevard. There are no reports of injuries.

While we are awaiting specifics from Florida Highway Patrol on what appears to be a two car race, witnesses and jail records tell at least part of the story. We are expecting the arrest report later Saturday.

The two men are identified as Matthew Jakob UVA of the 14500 block of SW 148th Street in Miami. He is facing a charge of “moving traffic violation – operate vehicle exceeding speed limit PLUS 50 MPH.”

The second man is identified as Anderson Galvez-Arreaga of Revere Road in West Palm Beach. He is charged with six violations — here’s the list: “flee/elude police a high speed or or disregarding safety and personal property,” “moving traffic violation – operate motor vehicle without license, second conviction,” “resist officer without violence,” “marijuana possession, less than 20 grams of cannabis,” “drug possession, possession controlled substance without prescription,” “moving traffic violation — reckless driving 1st offense.”

He is separately charged with, “flee/elude police – fail to obey law enforcement officer to stop,” “moving traffic violation, drive on permanently revoked driver license,” “resist officer without violence.”

Both men are in the Palm Beach County Jail Saturday. Check back for updates.
