DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — A federal judge has ordered Delray Beach Chiropractor Richard Davidson to turn over his home in Seven Bridges, as well as several bank accounts and college savings plans, to the federal government.
Davidson, as we reported in 2020, pleaded guilty within weeks of being charged with Medicare fraud by the U.S. District Attorney for the Middle District of Florida. Prosecutors demanded, and the judge ordered, that Davidson turn over nearly $2.5-Million as restitution.
While he still faces the possibility of prison time, the restitution at least partially satisfies “the defendant’s $2,472,087 order of forfeiture,” according to the order just filed with the Court.
Among the forfeiture assets: Wells Fargo bank accounts with last known balances of $155,166, $15,258, $88,104 and $13,556. An investment account with a last known balance of $197,567. Several 529 College Savings Plans with balances of $59,020, $52,288, $43,089 and $337.
The order also requires forfeiture of a home in the Delray Beach community of Seven Bridges.
“And the real property located at 9807 Rennes Lane, Delray Beach, 33446, including all improvements thereon and appurtenances thereto,” ordered the judge.
