DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) (News App readers click here for full report)— A man renting a room in a home in Seven Bridges — a West Delray Beach community not known for room rentals — says he was assaulted by another man in the house.
Now, Stuart Freidman, 74, is facing burglary and assault charges.
It happened at 9565 Eden Roc Court. Here’s the verbatim from the police report provided by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office:
“We made contact with Christian Lang at the intersection of West Atlantic Avenue and Lyons Road who wanted to report an incident that occurred at 9565 Eden Roc Court located in the unincorporated area of Delray Beach in reference to a disturbance. At approximately 7pm (on March 2nd), while he was in his bedroom which he occupies and pays for alone, Lang stated Stuart Freidman requested him to move his Mercedes Benz which was blocking his Audi in the driveway.”
Continues the police report: “Lang stated that when he told Freidman via text to wait after he finished eating, the conversation via text became more argumentative. Lang stated all the sudden while he was in his private bedroom Lang bursted in his room and threatened to commit bodily harm.”
The incident was apparently caught on video.
From the investigating Deputy: “On video, I observed Freidman making threats as he stood near and over Lang. Lang desired prosecution, provided video evidence along with a written statement. Based on the evidence provided, there is probable cause in the arrest of Stuart Freidman in the matter of assault and burglary to an occupied dwelling.”
The home is owned by Nayra Perez — she is not listed in the police report. It was purchased in January of 2016 for $736,796 under the name of “Nayra International LLC.” It was quit claimed from the LLC to Nayra Perez in December of 2018. It’s unclear what relationship, if any, Perez has with Freidman and Lang. HOA’s tend to dissuade homeowners from renting individual rooms.
Stuart Freidman was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on Tuesday. He was released Wednesday on $10,000 bond. A court date is pending.
