BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (From Boca PD)  — On Saturday, June 27 at 9:15 p.m., a Boca Raton Police officer was on patrol in Oaks Plaza. The officer had just pulled into the Mobil gas station at 690 West Glades Road, when she was approached by a male who said an unknown subject had snatched his cell phone out of his hand and rode off on a bicycle.

The victim told the officer he had posted an online ad on iTrade to sell his iPhone 5.   A Facebook user contacted him and agreed to pay $140 and they agreed to meet.  After discussing several locations, they agreed to meet at the CVS.  The suspect rode up on a bicycle and the victim noticed a second male on a bicycle a short distance away.  After a brief discussion, the suspect grabbed the phone from the victim and rode off on a bicycle.  The second male also rode off on his bicycle. The victim told officers that after the robbery he received a message stating, “Sorry bro I gotta eat.”

Investigating detectives were able to track down the suspect, identified as Dangelo Lorissaint, who was identified by the victim.  Lorrisaint confessed to detectives that he had stolen the phone.  Detectives charged Lorissaint with robbery by sudden snatching.
