BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — There is no denying Election Day wins for longtime Florida Senator Marco Rubio, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. But in Palm Beach County, neither candidate ran away with a landslide.

Final numbers as of Wednesday morning from the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts show that Gov. Ron DeSantis received 51.2 percent of the vote in Palm Beach County, while Rep. Charlie Crist — a former Florida Governor — received 48.2 percent of the vote. Close doesn’t count, but the numbers are notable. Palm Beach County definitely bled purple in the Gubernatorial race.

In the race for U.S. Senate, Marco Rubio and Val Demings were truly neck and neck in Palm Beach County, with Demings just slightly beating Rubio. Again, Rubio won statewide — that’s not up for debate — but the Palm Beach County numbers show just how divided this county is. Sen. Rubio received 49.34 percent of the vote, while Demings received 49.69 percent.

By the numbers: RUBIO – 267,371 | DEMINGS – 269,265. DESANTIS – 278,089 | CRIST 262,117.
