BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Vegan store in Boca Raton is being sued for nearly $100,000, and unlike most vegan food, the 148-page filing appears to have substance. The suit was just filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court.

The suit filed against Vegan Fine Body alleges that the store, which is now closed, neglected to pay rent. Lots of rent. The management company for Boca Center on Military Trail wants what it claims is its $79,699.52 back. It’s suing for unpaid rent and attorneys fees. The amount of unpaid rent actually nears $200,000, but “SCC At Boca Center” says it replaced Vegan Fine Body with another tenant and was able to recoup some of its losses. That doesn’t, however, excuse Vegan Fine Body from paying the balance due.

According to the suit, Vegan Fine Body entered into an agreement in July of 2021 and was to expire in July fo 2026. The payments by Vegan Fine Body apparently stopped in mid-2022. Collection efforts started a short time later.

Read the complete filing, attached, which includes the lease and additional information about how Boca Center leases properties and the penalties involved for not paying. The official address for Vegan Fine Body: 5250 Town Center Circle, Suite 115. Read the complete lawsuit here. No response to the filing has been recorded by the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts.
