BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The traffic nightmare in Boynton Beach continues Thursday morning with the ongoing closure of Boynton Beach Boulevard.

The road was first closed Wednesday afternoon due to a water main break. Despite efforts to fix the break, the closures continue Thursday morning. Traffic is expected to be somewhere between bad and horrific as the morning progresses.

Boynton Beach Blvd. is closed in both directions between Lawrence Road and Military Trail. Feeder roads are also impacted. Old Boynton Beach Blvd. is a viable option — it’s just north of Boynton Beach Blvd.

There is no estimate early Thursday morning about when the work may be completed. Listen to live traffic updates on South Florida’s First News with Andrew Colton from 6-10 a.m. on NewsRadio 610 WIOD, live in the iHeart Radio App, and simulcast on 105.9HD2.
