BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A major crash has closed all southbound lanes on I-95 near Griffin Road. The backups are already passing 595 and that’s just a short time after the incident. Expect major delays throughout the morning.
The crash involves dump trucks and other vehicles. It was first reported early in the 9 a.m. hour. It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured. Live video provided by Florida Department of Transportation cameras in the area shows multiple emergency vehicles on the scene.
Your best bet is to utilize the Florida Turnpike or even U.S. 441. Expect the I-95 closure to continue for several hours.
