Kristopher Lawrence To Spend Much Of 2026 In Lockup.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The sex offender arrested over the summer for a crime he told us was nothing more than a misunderstanding is back in the Palm Beach County Jail. Kristopher Lawrence, who we reported on in June as being arrested just days before his wedding, is being held without bond as of 4 p.m. on Monday. The arrest comes just hours after documents obtained by BocaNewsNow.com reveal that he entered a guilty plea to the very crime he told us wasn’t a crime. Failing to register as a sex offender.
While the handwriting is somewhat challenging to decipher, it appears that a judge accepted the plea in exchange for 5 years of probation which will start AFTER 270 days in the Palm Beach County Jail. The first two years of probation will be served under community control which means GPS monitoring with an ankle bracelet or similar. It also appears that he’s allowed to attend church and work during the probationary period which he allowed to serve in Oregon. Read the agreement, below.

Here is part of original reporting from June — you can read the entire article here. We’ll update when we learn more about the plea deal.
>> According to information obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, Boca Raton Police received a tip on June 3rd from the Santa Ana Police Department in California that Kristopher Lawrence was living at 2856 NE 5th Avenue. Lawrence, according to Santa Ana Police, was convicted on one count of sexual abuse in the third degree and three counts of sexual abuse in the first degree — each case involving a minor. He was jailed in Oregon for three years, then required to register as a sex offender. He allegedly never updated his registration after living in — and then leaving — California.
In an exceptionally well-written police report by Boca PD’s Justin Desiderato, Lawrence was placed under surveillance multiple times at the Boca Raton house. He was allegedly watched exiting and entering the home repeatedly over multiple days. Noted Officer Desiderato: “These repeated entries, conducted without hesitation and through apparent use of a key or other means of authorized access, are indicative of the subject maintaining key holder status. Based on the frequency and manner of access, coupled with the time of day of his departures, it is reasonable to conclude that Kristopher Lawrence is residing at the residence on a full-time basis.”
Police observed Kris Lawrence enter and exit the house multiple times with Amy Davis, the woman he is apparently set to marry. Her Florida registration lists “Kristopher Lowrems” as her emergency contact. Wrote police: “This bears the same first name as the offender and a last name that, while misspelled, is phonetically identical to Lawrence’s known surname. Both the registrant address and the emergency contact address were listed as 2856 NE 5th Avenue in Boca Raton.”
And then there’s the wedding. Wrote police: “An open-source internet search led to a wedding profile hosted on Honeyfund, a wedding registry website. The created page shows a wedding date of June 28, 2025, and features multiple photographs matching the known descriptions of both Lawrence and Davis.” <<
Davis has not been charged with any crime.
