BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Looks like the Florida Department of Health has a sense of humor. Days after we published our article on the multiple violations found at “Long Island Bagel And Deli” in Boca Raton, only to be slammed by readers who said they thought it was “Long Island Bagel Cafe” and that we needed to be more clear (even though the address was in the first sentence of the story), Long Island Bagel Cafe just got cited itself for six health violations.
You can read our recap of the Long Island Bagel and Deli situation here. This is what a health inspector found at “Long Island Bagel Cafe” at 8903 Glades Road in Boca Raton. (We do not edit these findings):

Neither Long Island Bagel and Deli at 21667 State Road 7 in Boca Raton, nor Long Island Bagel Cafe on Glades Road, were ordered to close as a result of the inspections. It remains unclear why two separate operations would be using the “Long Island Bagel” name in Boca Raton. Although it really doesn’t.
