Is He Law Enforcement? Is His Wife A Protected Employee? What Do You Know?

UPDATE: We now know who he is. Find out here.
BY: ANDREW COLTON | Editor and Publisher | BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Timothy Joseph Walsh is in big trouble. He was arrested for DUI, beating up a cop, and refusing to follow law enforcement orders at West Boca Medical Center on Saturday as PBSO started to investigate a DUI crash
But Timothy Joseph Walsh’s information is largely hidden — redacted under Florida Statute 119. That means he qualifies for some sort of public shield when he does something bad. Or, it means his wife does. But we can’t figure out who the Walsh’s are. So we’re asking you: who is Timothy J. Walsh? Why is he getting special treatment? Is he a cop? Is he a judge? Is his wife a public official in Palm Beach County or Florida?
Here’s what we know: Timothy Joseph Walsh was born in 1973. He is a white male. He is accused of being involved a DUI crash that led to him being taken to West Boca Medical Center late Friday night. As PBSO Deputies waited to arrive, “a female arrived in the ER and identified herself to me as his wife,” wrote a Deputy. “(She was) later identified as REDACTED. She then entered the room and began to speak to him in our presence. She then requested privacy. We (the Deputies) informed her that we would not be able to step outside and leave until the investigator comes and to sit down. Mr. Walsh then became angry and confrontational as he started to scoot towards me and the edge of the hospital bed. Based on my training and experience, this was an aggressive movement likely to escalate to violence.”
“I told him he needed to wait until the investigator arrived and I gave him a lawful order to stay seated in the bed. He ignored my order and he continued to approach me. I placed my hands on this chest to keep him at a distance when aggressively began shoving and pushing me as he began to fight law enforcement. He continued to struggle to fight as he used all of his weight to lunge forward as we then attempted to handcuff him. He resisted arrest by pulling his wrists apart while continuing to struggle as (another Deputy) myself, hospital staff, and even (REDACTED) attempted to restrain him from fighting. He was eventually placed in handcuffs.”
