BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A New Jersey man is suing Boca Woods Country Club and a court construction company after he claims that he slipped and fell on a painted logo on a pickleball court at the Boca Raton club, according to a lawsuit filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court and reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com.

Michael Bryzek, of Glen Rock, New Jersey, says he was a guest at Boca Woods Country Club, (10450 Boca Woods Lane) when he slipped on the painted logo on January 19, 2025. The complaint claims the logo was excessively slippery and presented a hazardous condition for players on the court.

The lawsuit names two defendants: Boca Woods Country Club Association, Inc., which owns and operates the facility, and Fast-Dry Courts, LLC, the company Boca Woods hired to design and apply the logo. Bryzek alleges the club failed to maintain its premises in a safe condition and failed to warn guests of the dangerous surface. He also says Fast-Dry used inappropriate, non-slip-resistant materials in applying the logo, actively creating a hazard on a designated sports surface.

Bryzek is seeking compensatory damages for injuries he describes as severe, including pain and suffering, disability, scarring, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expenses, and lost earnings. Bryzek is represented by attorney Jeffrey A. Adelman of Brotman Nusbaum Ibrahim & Adelman in Boca Raton. Attorneys have not been listed for Boca Woods or Fast-Dry. Read the complete complaint below.
