BocaNewsNow.com was first to report on the situation as rescuers pulled the body from the water. The woman has been identified as Patricia Brennan — a convicted killer who murdered her 76-year-old mother back in 2014. This is how our friends at NBC6 reported on the crime.

found deceased in the Atlantic Ocean on Tuesday morning, approximately two miles east of 2500
N Ocean Blvd. Just after 8:00 a.m. on August 4th, a boater reported a body in the ocean at that location. Boca Raton Police responded to the scene, with the Dive Team recovering the woman’s body in the water.
