David Robertson keeps telling officials that he lives in The Oaks of Boca Raton. But what’s reality?

BY: ANDREW COLTON | Editor and Publisher | BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — We’ve reported several times on the ongoing case against David Scott Robertson. The man is accused of traveling to meet a teen for sex back in January, only to find out that “child” was actually an undercover Boynton Beach cop.

At the time of his arrest and apparently several times since, Robertson has reported that his address is on Monte Vista Drive in the club-like West Boca Raton community of The Oaks — at 441 and Clint Moore Road. While one can certainly live in a house they do not own, Robertson — according to Palm Beach County — hasn’t been the named owner of the home for years. And the history of the home is notable.

Records reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com reveal that David Robertson purchased the home for $1.2M in June of 2021. In 2022, the property was acquired by “Monte Vista Drive LLC” for nearly four times the price he paid — $4.1M. In June of 2025, Wilmington Savings Fund Society took possession of the title for $200,000. Later in 2025 the house was sold for $2.5M.

In a move that continues to cause angst for some homeowners in The Oaks — some of whom have threatened BocaNewsNow.com for publishing public records — Robertson apparently continues to say he owns or lives in the house. And the address keeps showing up in official documents — including documents filed after his arrest on Sunday.

DAVID SCOTT ROBERTSON’S ARREST FOR A BOND ISSUE.

We asked both Boynton Beach Police and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office for clarification on his latest arrest which is listed as “bond surrender.” Neither agency could provide specifics. Boynton Beach Police — which made the initial arrest back in January — was not involved in Robertson’s rebooking this week. PBSO could only confirm that Robertson was re-arrested on a bond-related issue.

Information shared with BocaNewsNow.com, however, suggests that Robertson used a home for bond collateral following his January arrest, then put that same house up for sale. Whether it’s the house on Monte Vista is unclear. If it is, it would appear that he used a home for collateral that he did not own or was preparing to sell.

A booking document obtained by BocaNewsNow.com — and published above — shows that Robertson as recently as Monday told officials that he still lives on Monte Vista Drive in The Oaks. It’s unclear who — if anyone — verified that information. Robertson remains in jail on Friday. His bond is currently set at the original bond ordered following his arrest on the teen sex charges: $150,000.

We remind readers that charges are allegations and that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
