BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Boca Winds homeowner whose house party drew more than 300 juveniles into the West Boca neighborhood last month is now formally charged. Jason Douglas Watt, 54, of 22355 Collington Drive, faces a misdemeanor count of allowing an open house party where minors had alcohol or drugs, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office notice to appear just filed in county criminal court.

BocaNewsNow.com first reported on the Oct. 24 party days after it happened, noting Watt was not arrested at the scene. The probable cause affidavit, sworn Nov. 3, says a deputy sent to a loud party complaint found teens walking down the middle of the roads and spilling across several lawns. The street was so jammed that emergency vehicles couldn’t get through.

A security guard was working the front door when the deputy reached the home. Watt came outside, said the party was over and explained it was meant only for West Boca High School students before other juveniles overran it. The deputy reported empty BeatBox and White Claw containers scattered through the neighborhood — including on Watt’s front lawn and near his front door. While deputies were on scene, PBSO dispatchers fielded calls about teens leaving the party, causing a disturbance and damaging mailboxes.

Watt is due in court Nov. 19 at 8:30 a.m. at the South County Courthouse in Delray Beach. He is not — and was not — in police custody.

We remind readers that charges filed by law enforcement agencies are allegations and that all criminal defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. We also remind readers that civil court filings are allegations made by the party filing suit. The validity of those allegations will be determined in court. 1. What a joke. Putting a neighborhood and kids in serious harm is a misdemeanor ? He allows his daughter to drive his golf cart with our neighborhood little kids hanging off it speeding around everyday. Being a close neighbor of his I see multiple kids at his home partying. See why now since he supplying alcohol. There are all types of Predators out there and him being one.
