Boca Raton Burglar Gets 24 Years In Prison

David Henson Julien is sentenced to 24 years in prison for burglary, drug possession, dealing in stolen property.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Just in the from State Attorney’s Office:
 
State Attorney Michael McAuliffe announces that David Henson Julien, Jr. (11/06/1988) was sentenced by the Court on March 7, 2012, to 24 Years in the Department of Corrections for criminal charges in 2 separate cases.
 
On February 29, 2012, a jury found David Henson Julien, Jr. guilty as charged of the following criminal charges:
 
 
 
1)         Dealing In Stolen Property 812.019 1 (2 F)
 
– Maximum Allowable Sentence: 15 Years Prison
 
2)         False Verification Of Ownership – Pawnbroker 539.001 8b (2 F)
 
– Maximum Allowable Sentence: 15 Years Prison
 
3)         Burglary Of A Dwelling  810.02 1 3 (2 F)
 
– Maximum Allowable Sentence: 15 Years Prison
 
 
 
The evidence in the case showed that on September 14, 2010, David Henson Julien, Jr. broke into a Boca Raton home while the victims were sleeping.  The defendant rummaged through their home and took items from the victims’ antique collection and watches.  Further investigation revealed the defendant’s fingerprints on a watch in the home.  Additional evidence showed that the defendant had pawned one of the stolen watches at a pawn shop in Delray Beach.
 
 
 
On February 22, 2012, a separate jury convicted David Henson Julien, Jr. of the following additional crimes:
 
 
 
1)         Burglary Of A Dwelling 810.02 1 3 (2 F)
 
– Maximum Allowable Sentence: 15 Years Prison
 
2)         Possession Of Oxycodone 893.13  6a (3 F)
 
– Maximum Allowable Sentence: 5 Years Prison
 
3)         Petit Theft 812.014 1 3a (2 M)
 
– Maximum Allowable Sentence: 60 Days Palm Beach County Jail
 
 
 
The evidence in this case showed that on September 15, 2010, the defendant broke into another Boca Raton home while the homeowners were on vacation.  A neighbor saw the defendant enter the home and immediately called the police.  When law enforcement officers arrived, they found the defendant still inside the home and in possession of the victims’ property along with several Oxycodone pills.
 
David Henson Julien, Jr. was sentenced to 12 Years in the Department of Corrections for each case to run consecutively to each other.
