BSO: Boca’s Andre Montoya, 33, Killed After Crashing Into Car

News

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Darwinism (survival of the fittest) continues to be a provable theory as Broward Sheriff’s Office says Boca’s Andre Puerta Montoya, 33, sped his motorcycle on Powerline Road right into a car.  The driver of the car, police suggest, did nothing wrong. Montoya is dead.
From police:

Speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash that left a man dead Saturday morning in Deerfield Beach.
According to multiple witness who were traveling northbound on North Powerline Road around the time of the collision, a motorcyclist sped past them and crashed into the passenger side of a vehicle that was making a turn into the Target parking lot in the 100 block of North Powerline Road. The driver of the vehicle, Cassidy Hughes, 22, had been traveling south on North Powerline Road and merged into the left turning lane to cross over the northbound lanes and into the Target property.
Broward Sheriff’s Office traffic homicide detectives found no evidence of pre-impact braking or any evasive maneuvers from the driver of the Kawasaki motorcycle. The driver, identified as Andre Puerta Montoya, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene by Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue.
The two occupants of the vehicle were not injured.
Impairment is not believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
The investigation continues.
