BocaNewsNow.com Ends 2019 As Top Local News Site

News

Last year was big. 2020 will be bigger.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — BocaNewsNow.com ended 2019 as the top ranked non-newspaper non-broadcast outlet news site in South Palm Beach County. The major analytics research companies list BocaNewsNow.com as one of the top 200,000 websites in the United States (woo hoo, we’re 199,698!)

While in any other circumstance promoting a top 200,000 ranking would be laughable, no other local independent news site based in Palm Beach County is anywhere near the top 200k mark nationwide. Not bad for a hobby that’s nearing its tenth birthday.

We Exposed, We Informed

In 2019, we informed. We questioned. We shined the spotlight on those who lacked civility. We exposed questionable charitable organizations. We exposed HOA’s run amok in Boca, Delray and Boynton. We worked with law enforcement to disseminate information that helped locate the wanted and helped locate the missing. Nearly 100,000 people relied on BocaNewsNow.com over 48 hours for virtually instantly updated information on hurricane closings, openings and evacuations. Turns out journalism still matters.

Big Investigations Underway

There is more to come in 2020. We have multiple freedom of information act requests filed that we expect to lead to major stories. We are following federal and local criminal prosecutions that impact us all, but may fly under the radar of other news outlets. We will continue to expose those who flagrantly violate health codes and decency. Our trademarked features, including Outrageous Agents™ — which focuses on real estate agents — and BocaRudeton™ — which focuses on people behaving badly — will continue.

Our Readers Are Smarter Than Social Media

We thank our readers for making BocaNewsNow.com a continued success. We thank you for being smart enough — and caring enough — to engage in news coverage that doesn’t rely on Facebook as a primary distribution venue.

But most importantly, thank you for proving that facts matter. Real facts. Not Republican facts. Not Democratic facts. Just facts that are factually correct.

To our readers world wide and here in Boca…to those in retirement communities, residential communities, college dorms… even to Millennials who are still living at home and posting to social media all day believing that’s a job, we wish you a Happy News Year from BocaNewsNow.com.
