BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The violence in the Palm Beach County School District continues. Just days after BocaNewsNow.com published multiple incidents of fighting at Omni Middle School, we received video of a police takedown at Boca Raton Community High.
Incredibly, it was one of two police-related events on April 6th at the school.
According to school officials who confirm the incidents, the video you see below is what happened after a former student trespassed onto campus. Palm Beach County School District Police were notified and immediately stopped the child from entering a school building. A City of Boca Raton Police officer who happened to be in the immediate area also assisted. It was not immediately clear if the child was charged after being tackled by officers.
In a separate incident, also on April 6th, a student told authorities that he or she believed a gun was in the backpack of another student. The student believed to have a gun was found off-campus and detained. There was no gun found, but BBs were discovered in the bottom of his backpack.
Just days earlier at Boca Raton Community Middle School, an African American student sustained a broken arm and wrist after being battered in what was described as a social media or TikTok challenge. A criminal investigation continues.
