DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Delray Beach resident Timothy Kellis — who markets himself as “The Marriage Professor” and founder of the “Marriage Education Center of Boca Raton” — allegedly liked his neighbor at Tierra Verde so much that he wanted to name a discovery after her. He made that confession in one of the many notes and texts that he allegedly sent to the woman after they first met.

Kellis is now facing a simple stalking charge following his arrest by Delray Beach Police.

According to a police report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Kellis met his neighbor several months ago, and exchanged phone numbers for texting because, according to the victim, it was the “neighborly” thing to do. But Kellis, 59, apparently took quite a liking to his neighbor and texted her over and over again. She asked him to stop. He texted more. She called the police.

When Delray Beach Police told Kellis to stop texting or contacting the alleged victim, he apparently did. Briefly. Instead, he left letters on the victim’s door. First one. Then another. Then apparently more.

Wrote an officer investigating the case: “The author asks several times if she would be his friend and wants her to respond to him with an answer. He added that he wanted (the woman) to participate in an event where he has made a discovery and wants to name it after (her). In addition, he was hoping that he could introduce (the woman) as his girlfriend at that event. He ended the letter with the name Tim.”

Timothy Kellis was arrested on November 24th and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. He was later released on $2000 bond. A hearing officer found probable cause for his arrest which led to his arraignment on November 28th. A hearing is set for December 5th.

Websites for “The Marriage Professor” and the “Marriage Education of Boca Raton” seem to be not working Thursday afternoon.
