BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton woman is facing an “Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon” charge after she allegedly ordered her boyfriend to leave the home where they both lived by pointing a loaded gun at him and biting him on the neck. The boyfriend, according to an arrest report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, captured the gun-pointing threat on camera with a cellphone.

Jene Velasco, of the 2700 block of NW 71st Boulevard, allegedly decided she had enough of the on-again, off-again relationship, and ordered the man out of her home. He asked for one day to pack up his belongings. She, according to the report, responded by saying: “I am going to get you out, I’m going to get my gun.” Then did exactly that.

“The alleged victim said he walked downstairs shortly after the initial dispute to make sure Jene did not throw his belongings out. The alleged victim said that once again, Jene confronted him in the kitchen and yelled to him, ‘Get the F–k out.’ The alleged victim explained that when he told Jene that he was ‘legally’ allowed to stay, she presented her handgun and pointed it directly at him and chased him around the first floor. The alleged victim advised that he pulled out his cell phone and began to record Jene while she pointed the gun at him. The alleged victim said after he recorded, he began to walk back towards the stairs with his hands up.”

The responding officer, in the report, says he spoke with Jene about the incident. She, according to the report, acknowledged pointing a gun at the man.

“I met with Jene in the residence where she advised that she and the alleged victim have had ongoing relationship issues. Jene explained that on this day, she finally decided to tell the alleged victim to pack his belongings and leave. Jene also provided her statement in the reverse order of events. While in the residence, Jene pointed out her green 9MM Sig Sauer handgun on the dresser by her bedroom door. When I asked Jene about that gun, she said, ‘I pointed it at him, what was I supposed to do, he doesn’t live here.’ Jene stated the gun was unloaded.”

However, police later documented that the gun was loaded, and noted that the alleged victim had a wound on his neck. According to the police report, Jene bit the man on the neck during the dispute. Jene Brown was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail around 2 a.m. on Wednesday. She as released late Wednesday night on $5,000 bond. A court date is pending.
