BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton woman is facing battery, child cruelty, and property damage charges following a bizarre incident at the Boca Raton TLC Animal Hospital — 5400 North Dixie Highway.

According to a police report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, Nicole Raneri of Glouchester Street in Boca allegedly caused quite a scene and it was all caught on camera. Wrote the arresting Boca Raton Police Department Officer:

“On 11/25/23 at 1312 hours I responded to 5400 N. Dixie Hwy Suite 14 (TLC Animal Hospital) in reference to an assault. Upon my arrival, I met with who advised that Nicole Raneri came into the lobby of the office over an issue with her dog. I viewed video surveillance footage from the business that captured the entire incident.

The video shows that during the argument Raneri threw miscellaneous office supplies off the front reception desk. (An alleged victim) stated that she was struck by a small metal paper filing bin and a radio in her upper chest. (Another alleged victim) stated that she was struck by a computer monitor in her right arm and neck. It should be noted that Raneri was holding (a child) during this incident.

(One of the alleged victims) threw a plastic paper holder back at Raneri while Raneri was throwing objects at her which Raneri swatted away. Raneri then put (the child) on the floor, grabbed an office chair and raised it up as if she was going to throw it when another employee, grabbed it from her and grabbed her to escort her out of the office. Raneri then pushed in his upper chest. An unidentified friend of Raneri then escorted her out of the office, and she left the area.”

Raneri was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail around 8 p.m. on November 25th. She was released the following afternoon on her own recognizance. A court date is pending. It remains unclear what set her off — or the condition of her dog.
