SUPERBUTT SUNDAY: Is This Okay To Wear On A Plane To South Florida?

Butt on airplane
Is this okay to wear on a plane? A woman flying to South Florida Saturday night did just that.

BY: STAFF REPORT | BocaNewsNow.com

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman flying from Minnesota to South Florida Saturday night was all the rage when she showed up in skin-tight spandex that left nothing to the imagination when it came to the depth and breadth of her butt. Never mind that it was 26 degrees in Minneapolis. The butt babe paraded around the gate as if she wanted everyone to see what wiggles and jiggles. Passengers found it hard not to watch.

While we don’t know specifically where in South Florida she ended up once she disembutted — we mean disembarked — the plane, we do know this: it’s hard to not nominate her for our Boca Rudeton award for this Big Game Sunday. Big Games apparently call for Big Butts. And she delivered.

But it also raises another question: is this acceptable to wear on an airplane? While the Don Draper days of ties and coats on a plane have been gone for decades, we wonder if there’s a point where an airline needs to tell a passenger to get dressed. We are certain that the flight crew on this particular flight didn’t say, “ma’am, you gotta put on some clothes. No one wants to see your butt crack.”

Big-butted lady who wants everyone to see what you’ve got: we applaud your sense of self-esteem, but we also must bestow upon you our Boca Rudeton award of the day. Not worried about what other people think is great in our book, but dressing like you’re undressed is not. We don’t give prizes, but if we did, maybe a pair of shorts or some spackling to fill in the cracks.

We remind our readers that there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. Don’t want to be seen here? Don’t be rude here! Send your submissions to us using the menu buttons above. Share your thoughts about this flyer in our comment section, below. Boca Rudeton™ is a trademark of MetroDesk Media, LLC. Airline passengers apparently thinking everyone dresses in tight pants in South Florida is a trademark of midwesterners flying south.

So many people have no sense of common courtesy. I would not want to sit next to this person.

No, it is not appropriate. I see women wear shirt shirts that show their cheeks. I wouldn’t want to sit in a seat after that person. Also, people wear clothes that I work out in the garden.

Well now people show up in flip flops (nothing against them) and pyjamas this one seems to lack dressing decorum. Gone are the days when traveling was chic.
We are so into a complete laissez faire attitude that we have given up self respect in everything.
I for one as well as my family thrive to not fall into that abyss.

Also gone ? Expensive tickets, gourmet meals, free bags and free drinks. Flying is no longer fashionable because flying is like taking a bus these days – And you will rarely find fashionable people riding buses.

It’s not a matter of “common courtesy”. It’s more a matter of fashion sense. And this person has none.

It is not ok to wear those “shorts” any where when your butt looks like that. Let’s face it people in FL usually are dressed more acceptably than those from the north.

These are gross, not appropriate for wearing anywhere, except maybe in the privacy of your home, if you live alone

This site is part local news, part political propaganda and part Bill Burr comedy routine. If you just add in the pajamas and slippers, you would had his full routine down. Borderline plagiarism lol Reporting on the news part is perfect. I do wish you would at least title your political stories as “editorials” because they are certainly opinions, not facts. This page should be titled comedy.

It’s lack of respect for oneself. People who walk around and strut themselves have a self esteem problem. There is a time and place if you want to go wild. Today unfortunately, the younger crowd feel they have no boundaries , and who is the blame for them acting this way. Look in the mirror, are they your children? Did you do everything that you could to put your children on the right path for life. Were you put on the right path of life to pass on question question question question??

    To the editor:
I’ve watched you comment on everything from cars parked improperly, to dogs in Publix and restaurants, and clothing choices. Who do you think you are too judge others, when you don’t have the balls to show yourself and be judged?
Let’s see who you are, the car you drive, the home you live in, and the supermarket you shop in. Let’s watch you eat. And then, let’s talk about it.
If you want to report news, do that. If you want to have a gossip column, put on your big girl panties and call it that. But stop playing both sides. It’s truly unbecoming of a woman of your stature.

I could not agree more. The writer has the perspective that they are the be-all and the end-all of PBC journalism. Self-important and pompous and did I mention uber judgmental? And most content woefully lacking in details other than “something happened somewhere”

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Ice, I think anyone traveling on a plane should wear long pants. It’s much more sanitary and kind to the people around you. But nowadays, it seems so many people are absolute pigs and are totally inconsiderate to others. I hope this woman at least took a shower, but looking at this photo I’m so grossed out anyway.

If taking a photo of someone’s behind, publishing it, and talking about.it isn’t sexual harassment, it should be. That behavior is more obscene than the lady’s outfit. Unsubscribing.

I always wonder what would be the response if a guy would wear one of those to walk around in public. Would he get arrested for nudity? I don’t understand how ladies believe this type of attire makes them attractive. I have seen worse with the spandex being sheer, you can see they are wearing thongs. It’s getting worse as the times goes by with a generation that has no integrity with their body. What happened to the days when women would dress to make men imagine them naked? Well, of course, this generation has no imagination.

Oh my! So men dressed like women walking around and freely into ladies bathrooms are okay and a woman in gym outfit hopping on a plane is not? So natural fatty butt tissue in tight yoga shorts is not okay but fake chest elevations worn by some men are okay? I think the person taking a picture should be a nominee for Boca Rudeton. It’s not like your face is her seat on the plane. You have control to turn it into a different direction if you don’t like what you see.

Did I just read someone comparing this trash out (who dresses like this at the gym?) to a man who dresses like a woman? Funny I have traveled all over the U.S. and have never seen men going into a ladies room. I have once had to use a men’s room because the line to ladies room was to long (my friend made sure it was unoccupied). This is a pure trash outfit.

But these are literally gym shorts. Have you never been to a gym? Seeing these sorts of legging shorts is very common and there isn’t anything wrong with it. I think it was worse and really weird to be taking pictures of people’s behinds in public and then writing a hit piece on it?

I have to frequently fly up and down the I-95 corridor from FLL and PBI. At this point, what people wear is the least of my concerns. If you don’t decide to repack your carry- on in the aisle while the plane is boarding, don’t ignore the flight attendant asking you to unplug your charger so the plane can take off , and don’t drunkenly lean/ sweat on me Ior the entire flight I am happy.

I personally don’t care what someone wears ar an airport, however they recommend not to wear shorts on a plane. Planes can be very unsanitary, so you should be covered more.

It doesn’t bother me if someone wears clothes like that. I only concern myself with my own clothes, which are modest by comparison. I wish them well and I hope they aren’t too traumatized by strangers criticizing their particular choices.

  23. FlyPete Avatar

The reason why you should never have that much skin on your lower body exposed in an aircraft is very simple.
In case you need to evacuate and need to use the slide. Any exposed skin will suffer up to 2nd degree burns.
Any aircraft has to be able to get all passengers out in 90sec, so you’ll be pushed down the slide at full speed.
Always wear long pants on a flight, period. That goes for all sexes……..

  24. Kathleen Chenoweth Avatar

Wearing unflattering clothing isn’t a crime, but I wouldn’t want to look at something like that. Luckily my head turns and my eyes close and I don’t have to look at it more than once. My opinion on someone else’s sartorial slip doesn’t matter. I just say (silently) “Yikes….wouldja look at THAT!!!” and continue my day.
