BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A fire at Century Village Boca Raton was quickly extinguished by the professionals with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue who arrived on the scene moments after the first call was received.
BocaNewsNow.com learned that rescuers were dispatched around 4:55 p.m. to 245 Suffolk K for a fire reported in a laundry room. Initial reports suggest that either a piece of clothing caught fire and emitted smoke, or the actual dryer unit caught fire. The fire was extinguished before there was opportunity for it to spread.
No injuries were reported. The situation was declared under control by 5:10 p.m. Do not be alarmed if you see fire apparatus in the area.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
