BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The City of Boca Raton Friday morning canceled this weekend’s holiday boat parade. Bad weather moving through the region is leading to mass cancelations of outdoor events.
The event was set for Saturday night. The event will NOT be rescheduled, according to an announcement made by city officials.
Heavy rain is expected to pummel much of South Florida over the next few days, with a wind advisory remaining in effect for gusts up to 45 miles per hour. Meteorologists are comparing this system to a tropical storm, even though it is not a “tropical” system and does not have a name.
